Okey Dokey i figured i'd get some practice blogging my by making an entry for the opening of "The Market" in the mall near by!
The market is a local market, modeled after the ferry building in San Francisco. The place was totally crowded at the beginning as people rushed in for the grand opening. There was alll sorts of cool stuff like:

black Squid (eww)
red beets
green spinach
plain.... plain
We had the spinach and plain ones, and i want to try the beet later!
There was also this pretty little chocolate shop that sold macaroons and caramels as well as colorful truffles. I was less crazy about this place; nothing there was worth the price they charged. However they did have some tempting looking sipping chocolate which I may come back to try.
The was also this Souffle bakery that looked like it it was more of a pretzel place. i didn't try anything there but it was packed and the people in seemed to be happy. they had this-------> up too and my sister and my mom got a picture with it.And not to forget the thing that ticked me most about this new Market. The opening of a husband and wife owned, ballsy independent ice cream company that shut down a Pink Berry, and makes the most delicious gelato of all time : N'ice Cream! For their grand opening they where giving away free scopes and the line went around the corner! (it was my lunch ;D)
All of their gelatos and sherbets are made the day of (you even can see what time on their website), plus they do their est to keep it local and organic! Yay! Some of my favorite flavors by them include: Straciatella, lemon champaign, nutella, wow i can't think of them all but the absolute best one was their banana lemon! OMG! soooo gooooood!
The two lovely people in these pics are the owners themselves! The Mrs. offered me a job since i was so enthusiastic with my praise but alas! Singapore calls!
I had a great time in the market and got some great deals on things from tuberoses to cheese (yum) thanks to some $5 off coupons but the shopping there is a bit pricey. The atmosphere was lively and while it is no replacement for the ferry building it was still cool!
So remember:
(ps this is the last pic with my hair long! *gasp!*)
Thanks for reading!
